Map a URL pattern to a department, overriding the existing chat icon HTML Code on the webpage. For example, map a URL that contains "/members/" to a Members Customer Support department, without having to copy/paste a new HTML Code.
example usage scenario:
If a website contains two versions of the site (example: English and French), a URL pattern containing "/fr/" can be mapped to display the French support department.
If there are multiple products, few selected product URLs can be mapped to display the Product Specialist department.
If a website has a members area, map the member URL to display the Members Only support department.
Display specific department for specific pages that may require targeted sales rep or a tiered support to handle targeted responses.
For On Demand Clients, you do not need to download or install the addon. The feature can be accessed at Setup Admin > HTML Code > HTML Code Mapper
For Download Clients, to be able to download the HTML Code Mapper addon, your client account will need to be Enterprise Download account
Installation (also the upgrade instructions)
Download the latest HTML Code Mapper addon from the client area
Decompress the downloaded file to produce the addon directory code_mapper/
FTP to your server and upload the entire code_mapper/ directory to the phplive/addons/ directory on the server
Login to your PHP Live! Setup Admin area and access the Setup Admin > HTML Code > HTML Code Mapper to configure the addon
NOTE: If you do not see the HTML Code Mapper menu after installation, you will need to upgrade your PHP Live! system to the latest version. The HTML Code Mapper addon was introduced with PHP Live! v.18.104.22.168.8.2. The latest PHP Live! version can be downloaded at the client area.
Mapped URLs will display the mapped department chat icons, overriding the existing chat icons on the page.
IMPORTANT: If the URL pattern matches multiple mapped criteria, the system will select the first matched criteria for the mapped department. Example: If there exists two maps with URL pattern "/members/" that points (maps) to different departments, the system will select the first match to use for the mapped department.
The system will attempt to use the PHP variable $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] to process the addon. BUT, this method is not 100% reliable because some server environments may not contain the $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] variable. That is the reason it is strongly recommended to copy a new HTML Code (version 2) from the Setup Admin > HTML Code area and replace the existing code on your website if you are utilizing this addon. The new HTML Code will contain BEGIN PHP Live! HTML Code [V2] to indicate version 2.
All behaviors (ProAction Invites, chat icons, company logo, etc) will be that of the mapped department.
