How can I upload files or how do I enable file upload for visitors and operators?

File upload attachment feature was introduced with PHP Live! v.4.6.9.  The feature can be enabled for the visitor area and for each operator.  Currently, GIF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, PDF, ZIP, TAR, TXT, TEXT or CONF file formats can be uploaded.

* Documentations are written assuming that your PHP Live! is always the latest version.  If you do not see the menu options or the feature, you may want to upgrade your system to the latest version.  The latest version can be downloaded at the client area.

To enable upload files for the website visitor:

  1. Login to your PHP Live! system as the Setup Admin
  2. Click the top menu "Departments"
  3. For each departments created, edit the department and set the "Visitor File Upload" to file types allowed
  4. Save and done!

To enable the upload files for the operator:

  1. Login to your PHP Live! system as the Setup Admin
  2. Click the top menu "Operators"
  3. For each operators created, edit the operator and set the "File Upload" to file types allowed
  4. Save and done!

As a default, the uploaded files are stored on the server for 1 year (365 days) with a default max file upload size set by the server settings.  For more information about store duration, max size limit and directory the files are stored to, please reference the following documentation:
