If you are seeing this error, your web server does not have the MySQLi database connection extension enabled.  Most likely your server has PDO enabled and you can try that.  For more information on updating your PHP Live! system to utilize PDO database connection type, please review the documentation "MySQL "mysql extension is deprecated".
