Initiate chat with the visitor

* Documentations are written assuming that your PHP Live! is always the latest version.  If you do not see the menu options or the feature, you may want to upgrade your system to the latest version.  The latest version can be downloaded at the client area.

 

  1. Login as an Operator and launch the Operator Console
  2. On the Operator Console window, click the lower right footer menu "Traffic Monitor"
  3. The traffic monitor will list the current visitors browsing your website.  Click the magnifying glass on the far left of each visitor row.
  4. The expanded visitor information will display an "Chat Invite" menu.  Click the menu for the option to initiate chat with the visitor.
    * on latest versions, there is also a direct "chat invite" button on each of the traffic monitor visitor row
  5. Done!

 

NOTE: If the Operator Console does not show the "Traffic Monitor" menu on the lower right portion, then the Setup Admin will need to enable the traffic monitor for the operator.  The traffic monitor can be switched on/off at the Setup Admin -> Operators area, by editing the operator settings.  If the traffic monitor is still not visible, double check the "Chat Icon Status Check" setting is On at the Setup Admin -> Traffic -> Settings.
